James W. Donley
James W. Donley, age 91, of Mount Morris, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017 in the Madison Center, Morgantown, West Virginia.
He was born October 6, 1925 in Dellslow, West Virginia, a son of the late Charles and Beryl (Haines) Donley.
Mr. Donley retired from the United States Army on June 31, 1976 with over 20 years of service, from Belgium in WW II to the Korean Conflict and Vietnam Era. He received various decorations and citations, including a Bronze Star.
Upon his return home he worked as a supply clerk at T & T Machine Company in Fairmont, West Virginia until his retirement. He was a member of Zion Lodge No. 1, F. & A.M., Detroit, Michigan, where he received his 50 year pin in 2015.
Mr. Donley was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan and gardener, he enjoyed reading and decorating his yard for Christmas.
He was the last of his immediate family and was loved by all of his nieces and nephews.
On March 22, 1974 he married Sally A. (Baynard) Donley, who survives.
Deceased in addition to his parents are his first wife, Iris (McDougal) Donley and two brothers, Charles and Donald Donley.
