Anna E. Hetz
Anna E. Hetz, age 70, of Smithfield, died November 11, 2017 in Uniontown Hospital.
Mrs. Hetz was born August 14, 1947 in Waynesburg, the daughter of the late Martin and Annie E. Neff Grmek.
On November 6, 1971, Anna married Joseph P. Hetz who survives.
Also surviving are two children, Stanley Hetz, of Smithfield and Melissa Shawl (Brian), of Uniontown; a sister, Lois Jane Beckner (Dave) and two nephews.
A brother, Martin Grmek, is deceased.
Anna served proudly in the U.S. Army as a dental technician in the 1960’s. She continued to help her fellow veterans by making lap robes for the Veterans Hospital.
She was a member of the Smithfield Senior Citizens and the Fairchance Legion Auxiliary.
She was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Friends will be received in the Lesako Funeral Home, Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, Paul M. Lesako, Funeral Director/Supervisor, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday. A Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment with Full Military Rites will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg.
