Harlan Ray ” Tootie” Pratt, 87, of Bobtown, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017, in his home.

He was born September 12, 1930, in Oakland, Maryland, a son of the late William and Dorothy Kelly Pratt.

Mr. Pratt attended Point Marion High School and honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean conflict.

He was a member of United Methodist Church, Polish Club and Rod and Gun Club, all in Bobtown, and American Legion Post 499 in Point Marion.

For many years, he was employed as superintendent of Rego Park Gardens, an eight building apartment complex in Queens, New York.

Surviving are three children, Harlan Pratt Jr. of Manhattan, New York, Debbie Schatz of Lake Lynn and Sheila Kovalcheck of Bobtown; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Barone of Newtown, Dilliner; two brothers, Jay Pratt of Limerick and George “Bill” Pratt of Bobtown and many friends.

His wife, Norma Skidmore Pratt, passed away in 1973. Also deceased are a son, David Scott Pratt; son-in-law, George Schatz; grandson, Ryan Schatz; sister, Betty Spanovich; and a brother, Roger Pratt.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of services, Friday, October 6, in Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, Philip S. Rishel, owner and director, with the Rev. Ed Hanley officiating. Interment will follow in Wolf’s Cemetery, Dilliner, with military honors accorded graveside by Point Marion Veterans Posts.
