Ronald Joseph Sheranko

Ronald Joseph ” Ron” Sheranko, 74, formerly of Dilliner, died peacefully Saturday, September 30, 2017, in his home in Winder, Georgia.

He was born February 28, 1943, in Bobtown, a son of the late Andrew and Elizabeth Christoff Sheranko.

Surviving are his wife, Saundra Hartley Sheranko; six daughters, Mickye Stevenson of Leesburg, Virginia, Shea Sahlmann of Alexander, Arkansas, Rondi Squires of Little Rock, Arkansas, Jayme Kirby of Alexander, Hillary Ashcraft of Hoschton, Georgia and Lyndsay Maikranz of Dubai, United Arab Emirates; a brother, Robert Sheranko of Berwick and two sisters, Carol Spearen of Bobtown and Deb Anderson of Knoxville, Tennessee. He was also blessed with 12 grandchildren.

Mr. Sheranko was a 1969 graduate of Henderson State University, Arkadelphia, Arkansas, with a degree in business administration.

In 2005, he retired from Emerald Mines in Waynesburg.

He was an active member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, Dilliner, and New Liberty United Methodist Church, Braselton, Georgia.

A celebration of life is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, October 7, in Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, with Pastor Bev Roscoe officiating. Interment will follow in Wolf Cemetery, Dilliner. Arrangements are in the care of Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion.

In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, in care of Nick Shuppe, 480 Budapest Road, Dilliner, PA 15327.
