RUMMAGE SALE – A rummage sale will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church, located at 100 Bonar Ave. in Waynesburg, on Friday, Oct. 13 and Saturday, Oct. 14, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days. The sale will offer clothing, household items, glassware, Christmas items and much more.

FESTIVAL COMING – The 250th Mason-Dixon Celebration will be held Oct. 13-15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at the Mason-Dixon Park. The event will honor the 250th anniversary of the Mason-Dixon survey. The Warrior Trail Association will be selling Buffalo Burgers and there will be many more food and craft vendors on site. YARD SALE – An indoor yard sale will be held at the Rolling Meadows Church of God, located at Rolling Meadows Road in Waynesburg, on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The sale will offer household items, Christmas decorations, fishing rods, clothes, wall shelves, picture frames and more. Other items for sale will include funnel cakes, homemade bread, pies and more; also, the youth group will be selling hot dogs, soup, “Walking Tacos” and more.

HARVEST FESTIVAL – The 46th Annual Harvest Festival will be held Oct. 14-15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at the Greene County Historical Society and Museum, located at 918 Rolling Meadows Road in Waynesburg. For more info, visit www.greenecountyhistory.org or call 724-627-3204.

CHURCH EVENT – The Spraggs United Methodist Church will hold its annual Joyful Harvest Festival on Saturday, Oct. 14, beginning at 1 p.m. The event will feature a covered-dish wiener roast (hot dogs, buns and drinks provided), prizes, sack races, three-legged races, a cake walk and more. In the case of inclement weather, this event will be held in the basement of the church. Everyone is welcome and everything is free.

OPEN HOUSE – Save A Horse Stables Inc., a 501c3 nonprofit sanctuary, will host its second annual Open House / Fun Raiser event at its farm near Rogersville on Sunday, Oct. 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome. There will be food, entertainment and games, as well as hayrides to see the farm’s free roaming herd in their country pasture. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for youths under 10 years old. VENDORS NEEDED – Nathanael Greene Community Development Corporation is looking for vendors for the annual Holiday Craft Blast, which will be held on Sunday, Dec. 10 at the Greene County Fairgrounds. For more info, go online at www.natgreene.org or call 724-943-4462.

CHRISTMAS RAFFLE – Tickets are now available at the Greene County Tourism office and other Chamber locations for the Greene County Chamber of Commerce’s Christmas Gift Card Raffle (valued at $1,735). Tickets are $10 each (includes two numbers). The winning number will be the first official 7 p.m. PA Pick 3 Daily Number on Saturday, Nov. 17. A limited number of tickets are available.

HERITAGE WORKSHOP – Pre-register for the “Greene County Heritage Workshop: Practical Ways to Care for Your Historic Building(s),” which is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 4 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Margaret Bell Miller School. The cost is free and includes a boxed lunch. Although the workshop is intended for Greene County residents, anyone interested in preserving historic buildings is invited to attend. FOOD TRAINING – “Cooking for Crowds,” a volunteer’s guide to safe food handling, will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 25 from 1 to 5 p.m. in Carmichaels. The class is designed to help non-profit organizations and their volunteers understand the risks involved with preparing large volumes of food and the important food safety practices that need to be implemented to ensure a safe event. TOWN HALL MEETING – The annual Town Hall Meeting that focuses on mental health, drugs and alcohol awareness will be held at the Greene County Courthouse on Thursday, Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. For more info, call 724-710-4898.

CHOIR CONCERT – The Daughters of Grace Choir will present “Amazing Love … A Choral Celebration of God’s Amazing Love” on Friday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. at the Greene Valley Presbyterian Church in Carmichaels. A free-will offering will be received to benefit Warm Nights Greene County. Admission is free and refreshments will be served following the program. BLOOD DRIVE – Carmichaels Area High School will host an American Red Cross Fall Blood Drive on Tuesday, Nov. 21 in the school gymnasium from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

FARMERS MARKET – Waynesburg Farmers Market is held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Wednesday. Vendors sell locally raised fresh produce, meat, eggs, baked goods and more. Workshops, forums and kids activities are also provided. The market is located on Church Street near the courthouse in downtown Waynesburg.

COLORING PROGRAM – The Eva K. Bowlby Library in Waynesburg is presenting “Color Outside the Lines,” a program for adults who may be interested in the latest craze of adult coloring books. Coloring books are not just for children. The process of coloring has been shown to be stress-reducing, calm-inducing and joy-producing, for people of all ages. The library will provide coloring sheets and supplies to get you started. Join the library weekly every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or from 6 to 8 p.m. at the library.

CRAFT NIGHTS – The Bowlby Library’s monthly Adult Craft Night is held on the first Thursday of each month and the second Saturday each month. Seating is limited; call the library at 724-627-9776 to sign up or stop by the circulation desk.

WEIGHT SUPPORT – T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is a weight management support group that meets every Saturday at the Bowlby Library from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. New members are always welcome.
