Mikes win on the road, 31-14

Carmichaels trailed 14-7 in the third quarter, but the Mikes rallied with the final 24 points to return home Friday night with a 31-14 Tri-County South Conference victory.

The Mikes improve to 6-1 in the conference and 7-1 overall, and secured second place and a home playoff game. The Rangers go to 4-2 and 6-2.

Dylan Wilson started the comeback for the Mikes in the third quarter with a 34-yard touchdown pass from Kevin Kelly. 

Brennan Pelzer scored on a 3-yard run in the third quarter and 4-yard run in the fourth quarter to continue the run. Pelzer also opened the scoring on a 1-yard touchdown run.

Nick Mundell’s 22-yard run cemented the key victory. Mundell carried the ball 28 times for 214 yards.

Ryhan Culberson tied the game on a 53-yard run in the second quarter. Culberson gained 198 yards on 21 carries.

Jacob Baird’s one-yard fumble return gave the Rangers a 14-7 lead in the third quarter.
