Mary M. Shriver, age 85, of Graysville, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, October 28, 2017 with her family by her side.

Born on July 13, 1932, in Enon, Pennsylvania, she is the daughter of the late Glen and Artie (Martin) Whipkey.

Mary was a devoted member of the Unity Presbyterian Church in Graysville, for 60 years. She was the owner of the Shriver Family Restaurant for ten years until retiring in 1991. Her hobbies included cooking, gardening, going for evening walks and spending time with her grandchildren. Her grandson Nick had been living with her since he was 13 and ended up being her caregiver.

She is survived by her children, Penny (Don) Sergent, of Galena, Ohio, Beverly (Jim) Mull, of Ohio, Cindy (Dave) Ross, of Graysville, Sherry (Audley) Denman, of Graysville, Troy (Lisa) Shriver, of Washington and Jane (John) Correll, of Washington; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Kathleen West, of Westerville, Ohio; a brother, Reed Whipkey, of West Finley and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Roy Shriver on October 18, 2003; two sons, Randy Shriver and Ralph Shriver in infancy and two brothers Harold and Robert Whipkey.

Friends will be received on Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will follow in Braddock Cemetery, Richhill Twp.
