California’s Charles Roberts cruise to victory Tuesday afternoon at a Section 3-AA meet at Chartiers-Houston.

Roberts finished in 17:36, over a minute in front of Chartiers-Houston’s Matt Clark.

Waynesburg Central defeated West Greene, 15-50, Burgettstown, 18-43, and California, 25-34, but lost to Chartiers-Houston, 21-38. The Trojans defeated the Pioneers, 15-50.

Waynesburg Central’s Kullen Thorne was third in 20:19, just four seconds ahead of teammate Gabe McConville. Dylan Bird (12, 22:06), Dylan Fenstermacher (18, 23:46), and Cam Guess (19, 23:49) also scored for the Raiders.

California’s Matt Shimko was 11th in 21:22 and teammate Josh Gwyn was 13th in 22:22. Thomas Roberts (25, 26:15) and Carter Popelas (28, 27:35) rounded out the scoring for the Vulcans.
