Baker, Greyhounds shut out West Greene, 10-0

Nick Baker threw a one-hitter to lead Monessen to a 10-0 Section 2-A victory in five innings Thursday afternoon against visiting West Greene.

Baker allowed only Devon Jameson’s single in the second inning. He struck out 10 and walked three.

Antonio Rhome had a pair of doubles for the Greyhounds (1-1, 2-2). Marcus Dansmore had a bases-loaded double to bring home the final three runs of the seven-run bottom of the first inning.

Monessen’s Vincenzo Rhome went 3-for-3 with three singles.

The Greyhounds host Mapletown this afternoon.
