Mary Lou Lemley
Mary Lou Lemley, 89 of Mt. Morris, passed away April 13, 2018 with her family at her side.
She was born on August 11, 1928 in Jakes Run, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Andy Pete Tennant and Audie Ellen Henderson Tennant.
She graduated from Clay Battelle High School in 1947. Mrs. Lemley worked at Owens Illinois, Sterling Faucet, Holiday Inn, the Mt. Morris American Legion and Shoney’s. She also day cared several children and had a positive influence on them.
She will be missed by her friends and family.
Surviving are her son, Robert Lemley and wife LuAnn of Mt. Morris and a special friend, Marilyn Grandison of Mt. Morris. She raised Tabitha Statler of North Carolina, as her own. She was blessed with four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Robert N. Tennant of Fairview, West Virginia and one sister, Diane Hunnell and husband Charles of Fairview and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Eugene F. Lemley; her son, Earl Andrew Lemley; two sisters, Carol Thomas and Rebecca Steele and one brother, David Tennant. Heaven is rejoicing today.
Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 16, 2018 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, Owner/Director, 324 Mt. Morris Road, Mount Morris, where services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Olive Cemetery, Pentress, West Virginia.
