Richard E. Kamerer
Richard E. Kamerer, 83, of Waynesburg, died at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2018, in the Rolling Meadows Nursing Home in Waynesburg.
He was born Friday, November 2, 1934 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Samuel B. Kamerer and Grace Riffel Kamerer.
Mr. Kamerer was a member of the First Christian Church of Waynesburg. He was also a member of the Charleroi Odd Fellows #1030. When his health permitted he enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
He worked for Waynesburg Borough, Franklin Twp., and West Greene as the Water and Sewage Plant Operator/Manager retiring in 2000.
He is survived by his wife, Donna L. Mason Kamerer, whom he married on February 2,1957.
Also surviving are one son, Rick Kamerer, Jr., and his wife, Phyllis of Waynesburg; two grandsons, Wesley Kamerer and Brandon Kamerer and several nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family.
Deceased is one brother, Harry B. Kamerer.
Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2018 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, Owner/Director, 197 N. Maiden St., Waynesburg, where services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2018 with Rev. Cristy Wise officiating. Burial will be in Greene Co. Memorial Park, Morgan Twp.
