Waynesburg man charged in incident with wife

A Waynesburg man faces a host of charges following an incident involving his estranged wife April 5 on West Run Road in Morris Township.

Greene County Regional Police charged Travis L. Wickham, 51, with reckless endangerment, harassment, disorderly conduct, simple assault and various traffic offenses after police said he sideswiped a car belonging to Donna Wickham.

According to the criminal complaint in the office of Magisterial District Judge Glenn Bates, police said Travis Wickham said he and his wife were separated and he tried to talk to her at the post office in Nineveh about getting back together.

Travis Wickham said his wife seemed disinterested and headed to West Greene High School to pick up her son.

Travis Wickham told police he followed her onto West Run Road, passed her vehicle and stopped in front of her. He then said Donna Wickham attempted to drive way and struck him and knocked him over an embankment. Travis said he followed her again along the same road, passed her and the two vehicles collided.

Meanwhile, Donna Wickham came to the police station and reported Travis had been harassing her for some weeks and won’t leave her alone. She said on April 5 Travis came to her house and began beating on the door. She left her house to go to the post office but when she attempted to pull out of the driveway her husband blocked her path. She also reiterated much of the story Travis told about the traveling along West Run Road, except she said Travis stopped his vehicle in front of hers, walked back to her vehicle and began talking to her about their relationship.

Donna Wickham said as she drove away Travis Wickham acted as if she struck him with her vehicle but she said she had not.

Police said when they interviewed Travis Wickham he was not dirty and there was no evidence of him getting hit by a vehicle.

Travis Wickham was arraigned on the charges on April 5 before Bates; following arraignment, he was placed in Greene County Prison in lieu of $2,500 straight bail.

During Wickham’s preliminary hearing before Bates on Wednesday, the charges of simple assault and reckless driving were withdrawn; Wickham waived the remaining charges to court.
