Helen G. Cumpston Petak
Helen G. Cumpston Petak, 74, of Mt. Morris, Davistown, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018, in her home.
Born May 26, 1943, in Greensboro, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Helen Hewitt Cumpston.
She had been formerly employed as a dietitian at University Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia and was a social member of Veterans of Foreign Wars in Greensboro and American Legion in Mt. Morris.
She enjoyed gardening and her beautiful flowers and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her longtime companion of the past 38 years, Ed Grim; three daughters, twins Mitzi Doman and Marci Morgan, both of Morgantown and Melody Malinsky of Mt. Morris; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Thomas Cumpston and Robert Cumpston, both of Mapletown, William Cumpston of Bobtown and Denny Cumpston of Morgantown; three sisters, Shirley Hegedis of Mt. Morris, Grace Brown of Headlee Heights and Judy Sweeney of Mapletown; and a number of loving nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two stepsons, Thomas and John Petak.
Friends were received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, where services were held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, April 22, with Pastor Gary Whipkey officiating. Interment followed in Garards Fort Cemetery.
