Adrian “Bud” Unmuth
Adrian “Bud” Unmuth, 83, of Dilliner, passed away Monday, April 23, 2018, in his home with his loving wife at his side.
He was born December 31, 1934, in Appleton, Wisconsin, a son of the late Martin M. and Alice Marie Adrian Unmuth.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a degree in pharmacy, he served for a time in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Bud owned his own drugstore in Wisconsin, and later was the hospital pharmacist at West Virginia University Hospital. He then retired as the pharmacist at Kroger’s in Morgantown.
In his retirement, he enjoyed traveling all over with his family in their motor home.
Surviving are his wife, Deloris Hardy Unmuth; two children, Steven Unmuth of Appleton and Lisa Gartin of Virginia; three stepchildren and their spouses, Dawn and John Hall of Dilliner, Tim and Emily Bubnick and Tom and Maren Bubnick, all of West Chester, Ohio; five grandchildren; a great-grandson and his mother-in-law, Catherine Brown of Dilliner. A brother, David Unmuth; and a sister, Dorothy Boogaard, also survive.
He was a devoted husband and a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who cared deeply for his family, and he will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
Friends were received from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 10 to 11 a.m., the time of services, in Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, 501 Morgantown Street, Point Marion, with the Revs. John Jackson and Fred Tomlinson officiating. Interment followed in Wolf’s Cemetery, Dilliner.
