Mikes keep rolling along with 6-4 victory

Carmichaels built a 5-0 lead Monday afternoon and then held on for 6-4 victory at Frazier in Section 1-AA action.

The Mikes improve to 10-1 in the section and 10-2 overall. The Commodores slip to 2-6 in the section and 3-6 overall.

Carmichaels led 1-0 after the first inning and 2-0 after the second. The visitors added three more runs in the top of the fifth.

Frazier responded with two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, but the Mikes came right back with a solo run in the top of the sixth.

The Commodores rallied for two runs in the bottom of the sixth, but was unable to score in the seventh.

Brad Ruse pitched into the fifth inning for the win. 

The Mikes’ Dylan Wilson had a double and scored a run. Gavin Pratt, Al Cree and Collin Reynolds all finished with two hits. Cree also had two RBI.

Mason Kelly doubled and scored a run for Frazier. Timmy Sedok and Jacob Olbrys had the other hits for the Commodores.
