Jim Wilson
Jim Wilson, 73, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 8, 2018, surrounded by his family.
He was born February 7, 1945, in Waynesburg, to Mervyn and Pauline Wilson.
Jim served his country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, loved spending time with his grandchildren and his family. Jim loved going to the Veterans’ Association and talking with his buddies and telling stories. He was an excellent shade tree mechanic and loved to work on anything, tear it apart and put it back together.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Barbara Tambureloo and a brother, Charles Wilson.
He is survived by his daughter, Kerry Mateleska and husband John III; a son, Jeff Wilson McMorrow; a brother, Mervyn “Sonny” Wilson; two sisters, Pat Adams and Linda Tingle; grandchildren, John IV and Brianna Mateleska and Olivia and Deven McMorrow. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
A private family service will take place at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home in Crestview.
