Lions Club selects December student of the month
JEFFERSON – Connor Alcorn, a senior at Jefferson-Morgan High School, was selected by the Clarksville Lions Club as its student of the month for December.
Alcorn, a son of Francesca and Charles Alcorn of Waynesburg, maintains a 4.44 grade-point average.
He is treasurer of the National Honor Society, and a member of Science Olympiad, Envirothon, Academic League, debate team, peer jury, STEM and STEAM. He is also on the reading competition team for Library Club.
Alcorn is a recipient of the Robert E. Titus Educational Award and the Challenge Program Community Service Award.
Alcorn tutors at Bowlby Public Library and assists in after-school tutoring at the high school.
Alcorn will attend the University of Pittsburgh. He plans to become a freelance author and perhaps start a gaming company. He also has an interest in urban planning.
