Samuel Allison Teets
Samuel Allison Teets, 81, of Spraggs, died Saturday, February 10, 2018, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.
He was born December 5, 1936, in Kingwood, West Virginia, a son of the late Alva Albin and Erma Margarette Johnson Teets.
Mr. Teets served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1959.
He was a retired coal miner and member of United Mine Workers of America Local 1702, District 31, in Fairmont, West Virginia.
Mr. Teets enjoyed watching Westerns.
He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Blacksville, West Virginia.
Surviving are his wife of 58½ years, Silva Anna Auvil Teets; two sons, Leroy Teets and wife Terri of Spraggs and Kenneth Teets and companion Debra Rager of Cabot; three brothers, Howard Teets of Rowlesburg, West Virginia, Ben Teets of Borgman, West Virginia and Jack Teets of Core, West Virginia; five grandchildren, Lindsey Wilson, Ben Teets, Zoe Teets, Random Johnson and Nana Pennington; two step-grandchildren, Madison Rager and Hannah Rager and five great-grandchildren, Chandler Wilson, Allen Teets, Nell Teets, Maddie Pennington and Kylie Pennington.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a son, Dale Allen Teets, who died December 12, 2005; brother, Jay Teets and two sisters, Louella Teets and an infant sister.
Friends were received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and will be received noon to 1 p.m., the time of service, Wednesday, February 14, in Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price Street, Kingwood, with the Rev. Kevin Arkola officiating. Interment will follow in Etam (W.Va.) Cemetery.
