Irene C. Herrington Renner, 88, of Waynesburg, died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2018, in the Waynesburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Waynesburg.

She was born Thursday, April 3, 1930 in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late John W. Herrington and Versa Pearl Nestor Herrington.

Mrs. Renner attended the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Ruff Creek. She enjoyed cooking for family and always had a contagious smile and never knew a stranger. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker.

Her husband, Earl Renner, whom she married on January 22, 1948, died November 12, 2015.

Surviving are one daughter, Betty Anderson, and her husband Randy, of Waynesburg; one son, Bill Renner, and his wife, Alberta, of Mt. Morris; five grandchildren, Anita Vitolo, Amy Earnest, Angie Iams, Natalie Wilson and Meghaan Hampton; ten great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Maple, of Waynesburg; one brother, Shirl Herrington, of Kirby and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are one great-grandson; one sister, Freda Bierer; three brothers, Elmer Marquess, Delbert Herrington and Charles Herrington.

At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation or services. Private burial will be in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Twp, Greene County, with Rev. David Earnest officiating. Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, Owner/Director, 197 N. Maiden St., Waynesburg is in charge of the arrangements.
