Dixie Ann Thomas, infant daughter of James Allen Thomas Jr. and Dorothy Ann Lavigne, was born Friday, July 13, 2018, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia. She died later the same day due to injuries sustained by her mother in an automobile accident earlier that day. Dixie lived approximately 5 hours.

Surviving, in addition to her parents, are maternal grandmother, Karen Lavigne of New Freeport; maternal grandfather, Boyd Lavigne of Carmichaels; maternal great-grandfather, Ralph Johnson of New Freeport; paternal grandfather, James Allen Thomas of Graysville; paternal grandmother, Debbie Jean Mason of Cameron, West Virginia; paternal great-grandparents, James and Bonnie Finch of Ryerson; paternal great-grandmother, Emma Thomas of Waynesburg; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by paternal great-grandfather William Thomas.

Friends called from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 21, in Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, West Virginia. A graveside service followed visitation in Sand Hill Cemetery, Ned, with Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating. Interment followed in Sand Hill Cemetery.
