PennDOT announces Greene County Maintenance Update

Greene County Maintenance Manager, J. Scott Finch, II, today announced the following tentative work plan for the week of July 23, 2018. All maintenance activities are conducted on a weather-permitting basis. Motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the usage of headlights.

Bridge maintenance on SR 1014 in Morgan Township and SR 19 in Franklin Township

Surface treatment on various SRs in various townships

Drainage and shoulder stabilization in various townships

Bridge flushing on various bridges throughout western Greene county

Drainage on various SRs in Morris and Gray Townships and in various other townships

Line Painting on I-79 in Perry, Whiteley, and Franklin Townships

Litter/debris on I-79 in Washington Township

Shoulder cutting on various SRs in Cumberland and Greene Townships

Slide repair on SR 3009 in Gilmore Township, and SR 4033 in Washington Township

State roads will be reviewed and signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced and concerns addressed on various state roads throughout the county.

PENNDOT has a 24-hour toll free number for residents to call to report any road maintenance concerns. This number can also be utilized to report locations of dead deer on state highways. The number is 1-800-FIX-ROAD (1-800-349-7623).
