Deadline approaching to register for 4-H day camp
WAYNESBURG – The reservation deadline for the June 20 4-H day camp, “Foaling Around,” is June 6 and the number is limited to 40 youth ages 8-12.
The camp will be held at the Seldom Seen Farm, 255 Hemlock Road, Waynesburg, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost is $15 per person and includes lunch, a T-shirt, crafts and educational activities.
Participants will learn about horse breeds and their colors/markings, grooming, tack and safety. There will be hands-on activities along with many visual demonstrations. One does not have to be a 4-H member to attend.
The camp is partially funded by the 4-H Youth Development Fund and 4-H County Council. The Greene County 4-H Council members will serve as counselors for the day’s activities.
