Lady Raiders score 15 in fifth inning for 18-6 win

Waynesburg Central scored 15 runs in the top of the fifth inning Tuesday afternoon for an 18-6 Section 3-AAA victory in five innings at Charleroi.

Kaylee Turcheck had two pinch-hit singles in the 15-run inning, driving in a pair of runs.

Brooke Meek accounted for the Lady Raiders’ runs in the top of the third inning with a three-run home runs.

Charleroi led 6-3 after two innings, but winning Jordan Sibert shut the Lady Cougars (0-8, 0-9) out the rest of the way.

The Lady Raiders’ Erin Fitch had a double, two singles and two RBI.

Kylie Quigley took the loss.
