Robert J. Makcen, age 75, of Clarksville, died April 28, 2018, in his home.

Mr. Makcen was born September 12, 1942 in Waynesburg, the son of the late William and Catherine Vadock Makcen.

Mr. Makcen was a retired miner from the former Clyde Mine at Fredericktown.

Robert was a member of St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church of Clarksville.

He was a member of the U.M.W.A., and a volunteer fireman with the Clarksville Volunteer Fire Department for many years.

Mr. Makcen is survived by two brothers, John Makcen (Beverly), of Willowick, Ohio and Thomas Makcen (Maxine/Mickey), of Carmichaels; a sister, Catherine Kasperski, of Mentor, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to his parents are his wife, Donna Moon Makcen; two sisters, Helen Cieslinski and Sylvia Burich and two brothers, George Makcen and William Makcen Jr.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass at 10 a.m. May 3, 2018 in St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church in Clarksville with Reverend Francis Frazer, celebrant. Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Briar Hill. Arrangements are entrusted to Paul M. Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Ave, Carmichaels. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
