Celissa Mae Smolk, 73, of Carmichaels, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown.

She was born October 22, 1945 in Rices Landing, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Rager) Hixon.

Mrs. Smolk enjoyed spending time with family, sewing, and reading. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Uniontown.

Surviving are her loving husband, Richard Smolk; a son, Thomas Teegarden and his wife Donna, of Rices Landing and a granddaughter, Emily Teegarden.

Deceased is a sister, Mary Kast and a brother, Thomas Hixon II.

Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2018 in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels, followed by a funeral service at 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg.
