Theft from car
A 47-year-old Waynesburg man told state police multiple items were stolen from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked at 502 Bonar Avenue, Waynesburg, sometime between 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 13 and 3 a.m. Oct. 14.
Wire stolen
State police reported 80 feet of copper wire was stolen on Sept. 13 from Hatfield’s Power Station, Monongahela Township.
Wallet stolen
A 42-year-old Waynesburg woman told state police her wallet was stolen from her unlocked vehicle on Oct. 6 while it was parked on Easy Street in Franklin Township.
Vehicles collide
State police reported vehicles driven by Zachery Zalar, 25, of Waynesburg, and Nicole Pritchard, 30, of Bobtown, collided at 7 a.m. Oct. 17 on Garards Fort Road in Franklin Township. Police said Zalar became distracted by shifting materials inside his vehicle, crossed the center line and struck Pritchard’s vehicle head on. Pritchard and two passengers, Yvonne Pritchard, 52, of Bobtown and an 8-year-old girl, were transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va., for treatment of various injuries. Zalar sustained a minor injury but was not transported to a hospital, police said.
Tools stolen
Tools and tool accessories valued at approximately $1,000 were stolen from an unlocked toolbox in the bed of a vehicle parked at 249 East Roy Furman Highway in Franklin Township between 5 p.m. on Oct. 13 and 9 a.m. on Oct. 14, state police said.
Rear-end collision
Police said vehicles driven by Zachary Zemonick, 26, of Mannington, W.Va., and Toby Liston, 23, of Albright, W.Va., were traveling south in the left lane of Interstate 79 in Perry Township at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 19, when Liston abruptly slowed in traffic and Zemonick, who failed to brake in time, struck the rear of Liston’s vehicle. Neither driver was injured, police said.
No injuries
A West Virginia man escaped injury at 10:45 p.m. on Oct. 19 when he failed to negotiate a curve while traveling north on Dilliner Hill Road in Dunkard Township, and struck a tree. Police said Patrick Barnett, 24, of Maidsville, was cited for not having a driver’s license.
