Linda Clites, 74, passed away on September 25, 2018 in Pittsburgh of natural causes with her family by her side.

She was born on June 26, 1944 in Garards Fort, the daughter of Norman and Ina Jean Blaker Smitley.

Linda grew up in Garards Fort and called Bobtown her home for the past 46 years.

She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was happily married to Don, the love of her life, for 53 years.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, playing computer games, reading, playing her slot machines and vacationing at the beach. She was a simple woman with a lot of love to give and meant so much to so many.

Linda was a retiree from West Virginia University where she was an administrative assistant for over 13 years. She was also an employee of the Bobtown Shannopin Mining Company for 7 years as an office assistant. She genuinely loved her jobs and took great pride in her work. She made countless lifelong friendships in her work that she cherished very much. Prior to that, her longest and most important job was being a great wife and mother.

She was a proud and active member of the United Methodist Church of Bobtown. She helped with Vacation Bible School, youth group, back to school events, soup sales, and much more. She will be sadly missed by the church’s congregation.

She was also a member of the Bobtown Shannopin Civic Club for years and took part in many activities throughout her time there.

Linda is survived in her death by her husband Donald R. Clites of Bobtown and her daughter and son-in-law Timothy Brennan and Jill Clites Brennan. She was a proud grandmother, a great grandmother, and a grandma to her grand-dog, Bella. She also had several cousins, nieces, and nephews that loved her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents Norman & Ina Jean Blaker Smitley and her brother David N Smitley.

A special thank you to Greene and Washington County Hospice and West Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center for taking great care of her in her final days. She was also extremely grateful for the care and love she received from the numerous staff at Allegheny Health Network and UPMC over the past year.

Services will be held on Saturday September 29, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Paul M. Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels. A service will take place at 7:00 p.m. following the viewing.
