FINE FORGIVENESS WEEK – During National Library Week (April 7-13) the Bowlby Library is offering fine forgiveness to currently checked out materials that may be overdue! Check your shelves, in the kitchen cabinets, under the bed, or the doghouse for any overdue materials that need returned!

SUPPORT GROUP – On April 10 from 6-7 p.m. the Waynesburg First Church of the Nazarene is hosting a bereavement support group for those who have lost loved ones.

AFTER HOURS FOR FAMILIES – Friday, April 12 @ 4-8 p.m. Visit Bowlby Library for a colorful Easter themed program! Call to register your family at 724-627-9776.

SQUARE DANCE – On April 12 from 7-10 p.m. at the Center Township Firehall in Rogersville. Cost is $7 per adult, $10 per couple and $5 per children ages 12-18. Benefits the Center Township VFD. BRUNCH WITH EASTER BUNNY – Mt. Morris Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary invites you and your family to the Mt. Morris firehall to enjoy Brunch with the Easter Bunny on Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to noon. The brunch buffet will include bacon and sausage, biscuits and gravy, French toast sticks and fruit skewers. The event is free to children under 12 and costs $7.00 for adults.

EGG HUNT – Saturday April 13, the Perry Township Recreation Board will be hosting a morning of games in the Mt. Morris Firehall from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Afterward, an egg hunt will be held in the field behind the American Legion, hosted by the Mt. Morris Gospel Tabernacle with help from the Mt. Morris United Methodist Church.

EGG HUNT – The Social Service League will hold its annual Easter egg hunt on April 13 at West Park in Waynesburg, near Bowlby Public Library. The egg hunt is open to children 10 years of age and younger. The park will be divided into separate areas for five different age groups. Children should bring a basket or bag for gathering their eggs and the Easter bunny will be on hand to greet children and pose for photos. The egg hunt begins promptly at 10 a.m. Rain date for this event will be on Saturday, April 20.

FREE S.A.T. PREP CLASSES – Saturdays, April 20th, 10:00am – 2:00pm. For Teens preparing for SAT exams; please bring a bagged lunch and scientific calculator.

TEEN ADVISORY GROUP – The Bowlby Library invites teenagers 13-18 years to visit the library on Tuesday, April 23 at 5 p.m.

BOCCE BALL – Seniors, visit the EQT REC Center for bocce ball, Wednesdays from 9-11 a.m. on the following dates:

LEGO BRICK MASTERS – meets Saturdays, April 13 & 27 @ 11:00 a.m. at Bowlby Library, for ages 3 & older. The library will provide the Legos, you provide the imagination!

PIE & BINGO – Friday, April 26, 6-9 p.m. at Bowlby Library, for ALL ages! Come play several games of bingo at the library; win prizes and enjoy some pie!

COOKBOOK CLUB – Monday, April 29, 6 p.m. at Bowlby Library. If you like to cook, this is the club for you! Let’s get together and try new recipes every month. For more information, call 724-627-9776.

ANNUAL POETRY COMPETITION – With the month of April being National Poetry Month, Bowlby Library is inviting patrons/citizens to participate by submitting original poems beginning Monday, March 25 through Saturday, April 13. The competition will be broken down into the following categories:

Kindergarten-Second Grade

Third Grade-Fifth Grade

Sixth Grade-Eighth Grade

Ninth Grade-Twelfth Grade

Adults

Winners will be announced on Monday, April 30.

STORY CLASSES – Now through May 10 for children of all ages at Bowlby Library.

Preschoolers: ages 3-4 Tuesday @ 10:30 a.m., ages 4-5 Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.

Toddlers: ages 18-35mos. Thursday at 10:30 a.m. and ages 18-35mos. Thursday at 11:30 a.m.

Stories Under the Moon: ages 3-6 Wednesday at 5 p.m.

Baby Lapsit: Birth-18mos. Thursday at 1:30 p.m.

Weekend Readers: ages 3-6 Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

BOOK CLUB – Flenniken Library offers an Elementary and Middle School reading competition book club on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 6-7 p.m.

TODDLER TIME – Every Friday from 11 a.m. to noon, bring your child to Flenniken Library for Toddler Time with Miss Norma. We will sing a song, read a book and make a craft. This class is free of charge, but registration is required. Class is open to children ages 1-3.

CRAFTERNOONS – Flenniken Library hosts this every Thursday from 3:30-5 p.m. It is open to school aged children so drop in for a weekly craft project free of charge.

COLORING CLUB – The Flenniken Public Library in Carmichaels hosts its Coloring Club for Adults on the third Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. Colored pencils and coloring sheets are available, but those attending are welcome to bring their own. For more info, call the library at 724-966-5263.

CAMP CODE – On the second and fourth Saturdays, February through April from 11 a.m. to noon at Flenniken Library. Open to children ages 5-10. Learn coding through with PBS Kids Scratch Jr. made possible by EQT Foundation: Inquire Within, and a grant from the Community Foundation of Greene County.

NYC TRIP – Join Nathanael Greene CDC on their annual 3 day trip to New York City on May 16th-19th. Stay at the Manhattan at Times Square Hotel to enjoy all the city has to offer. Pick up is in Greensboro, Carmichales, Waynesburg and Morgantown starting at 5:30 AM. Cost for a double is $695.00 per person, Triple-$575.00 per person and Quad-$500.00 per person. COLORING PROGRAM – The Eva K. Bowlby Library in Waynesburg is presenting “Color Outside the Lines,” a program for adults who may be interested in the latest craze of adult coloring books. Coloring books are not just for children. The process of coloring has been shown to be stress-reducing, calm-inducing and joy-producing, for people of all ages. The library will provide coloring sheets and supplies to get you started. Join the library weekly every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or from 6 to 8 p.m.

WEIGHT SUPPORT – T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is a weight management support group that meets every Saturday at the Bowlby Library from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. New members are always welcome.

SUPPORT MEETINGS – Steps Inside, Inc., 1790 Morris St., Waynesburg coordinated weekly recovery and support meetings for AA, NA and Al-Anon groups, open to the public. AA meetings are: Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, noon at Steps Inside Inc.; Tuesdays, noon at First United Methodist Church in Waynesburg and 7:30 pm at Carmichaels Methodist Church Fellowship Hall; Fridays, noon at First United Methodist Church in Waynesburg and Saturdays, noon at Steps Inside and 7:30 pm at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Waynesburg. NA meetings are: Mondays, 7 pm at Steps Inside; Tuesdays, 7 pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Carmichaels; Thursdays, 8 pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Carmichaels; Fridays, 11 pm at Steps Inside and Sundays, 7 pm at Steps Inside.
