Hundred (W.Va.) tops Mapletown
Hundred (W.Va.) jumped out early in a 63-41 non-section victory on Thursday at Mapletown High School.
The Hornets had a 18-4 lead after the first quarter, and after outscoring the Maples, 15-12, in the second, took a 33-16 halftime advantage.
Mapletown (1-10, 1-20) had a 16-13 edge in the third, but Hundred outscored the home team, 17-9, in the fourth.
The Hornets’ Travis McCoy was the game’s leading scorer with 27 points. Teammate Cody Soles had 15 and Logan Norris added 11.
Chuckie Lash led the Maples in scoring with 13 points. Teammate Ryan Tuttle had 12 and Matt Atwood nine.
