Attempted burglary

On Dec. 21, 2018 at a little after 11 a.m. someone forced their way through a garage door in Springhill Township by breaking the man door, state police said. They were in the process of stealing an air compressor when a neighbor came by. The robbers fled the scene, leaving behind the air compressor and $200 dollars in damage to the man door.

Counterfeit bill ruse

On Nov. 15, 2018 at 5:05 p.m. state police said someone asked for change for a $100 bill at the Sheetz in Waynesburg. After making change and giving it to the customer the clerk realized the bill was fake, but the customer had already left.
