OUTDOOR SPORTS SHOW – On March 2 and 3, Morgantown’s Mylan Park will host the 18th annual WV Fishing, Hunting & Outdoor Sports Show. Show hours are Saturday from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door and cost $9 for adults and $1 for children 7-12. There is no charge for kids under 6. The first 50 people each day will receive a free gift. Guests can register at the Info Table to win lots of great prizes given away hourly, as well as the Grand Prize Drawing for a two day fishing charter trip on Lake Erie with Special Eyes Charters. This trip is valued at over $2000 and sponsored by WKKW.
LEGO BRICK MASTERS – meets Saturday, March 2 & 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Bowlby Public Library, for ages 3 & older.
ARTIST RECEPTION – Monday, March 4 from 5-7 p.m. for local Washington county resident, Deanna Volz: a recent graduate from Wittenberg University with a Bachelors’ in Art and Japanese. She is currently enrolled in the Children’s book Illustration Certificate at Hollins University. Samples of her artwork are on display in the Gallery area of the Bowlby Library. Light refreshments will be served during the reception.

CIVIC CLUB MEETING – The Carmichaels Women’s Civic Club will meet on Thursday, March 7 at 6 p.m. in the Carmichaels Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Jennifer Mudery, local artist from McClellandtown, will present a program about Pysanky (Ukrainian) Easter eggs and members and guests will have the opportunity to make Pysanky eggs. All members are encouraged to attend and to bring a guest. Members are reminded to bring new journals that will be donated to the Domestic Violence Center in Waynesburg. New members are welcome.
CODE SQUAD – Students ages 6-12, come join the Code Squad @ the Library! Classes begin on Thursday, March 7 from 5-6 p.m. Bowlby Library’s Code Squad will begin our Spring programming/coding sessions for 10 weeks. Come join us as we develop our own cartoons using PBS KIDS ScratchJr. New members are always welcome!
WRITERS CONTEST WORKSHOP – Attend Bowlby’s Write On! Contest Workshop for kids in grades K-5 on Thursdays, March 7 & 21 at 5 p.m. Got a story to tell? Write it and you could enter to win prizes from PBS Kids!
SPA NIGHT – March 7 at 6 p.m. at the county fairgrounds in Waynesburg, as part of the county’s Thankful Thursdays program. Beth Uveges, a licensed massage therapist, will be offering 5 to 10 minute chair massages. You won’t want to miss this evening of relaxation and rejuvenation while learning about the oil blend of Serenity and Balance. Pre-register by calling the Dept. of Recreation at 724-852-5323. The $5 class fee includes soothing facial and foot treatments. Chair Massage fees are $5 to $10.
INDOOR YARD SALE – On Saturday March 9 the Center Township Fire Hall in Rogersville is hosting a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Table space is available for $10 a table. EARLY CHILDHOOD FAIR – The Jefferson-Morgan School District will have its 11th annual early childhood fair on Saturday, March 16 from 9 a.m. to noon in the elementary gym. The registration for pre-k and kindergarten is now open. District administration, teachers and a host of other child-care agencies will be there to answer questions. Parents/guardians residing in the district with children ages 0-5 are strongly encouraged to attend. This event is made possible through the collaboration among the Jefferson-Morgan School District, Blueprints, and The United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania.
BOOK CLUB – Flenniken Library offers an Elementary and Middle School reading competition book club on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 6-7 p.m.
TODDLER TIME – Every Friday from 11 a.m. to noon, bring your child to Flenniken Library for Toddler Time with Miss Norma. We will sing a song, read a book and make a craft. This class is free of charge, but registration is required. Class is open to children ages 1-3.

COLORING PROGRAM – The Eva K. Bowlby Library in Waynesburg is presenting “Color Outside the Lines,” a program for adults who may be interested in the latest craze of adult coloring books. Coloring books are not just for children. The process of coloring has been shown to be stress-reducing, calm-inducing and joy-producing, for people of all ages. The library will provide coloring sheets and supplies to get you started. Join the library weekly every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or from 6 to 8 p.m.
WEIGHT SUPPORT – T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is a weight management support group that meets every Saturday at the Bowlby Library from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. New members are always welcome.
