Department of Recreation to present Fraud and Scams Bingo Class
WAYNESBURG, Pa. – The Greene County Department of Recreation is teaming up with AARP (formerly the American Association of Retired Persons) to bring an AARP Frauds and Scams Bingo class to Greene County residents.
Instructor Eileen Mazza, member of the Consumers Issues Task Force, will lead the class at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6 at the Greene County Fairgrounds 4-H Building downstairs.
This version of bingo, which is free of charge and open to the public, will educate and entertain attendees on the topic of Frauds and Scams.
The lessons are reinforced through a series of bingo games. Participants will have fun while learning what to look out for and who to call with questions.
The goal of the class is to help people learn to be more proactive in protecting their hard-earned money by being aware and informed about these current issues.
AARP and Pennsylvania Banking and Securities will supply the prizes.
Pre-registration is required. For more information, or to pre-register, call the Department of Recreation at 724-852-5323, or visit www.co.greene.pa.us.
