PIE AND BINGO – At Bowlby Library on Friday, March 22 from 6-9 p.m. All ages are welcome and the library will supply all items needed including prizes; call to register at 724-627-9776. Donations accepted to offset cost of pie & prizes.
BIBLE DAY CAMP – On March 23, Children’s Bible Ministries of Southwest PA / Cornerstone Ministry Center is offering a pancake breakfast, followed by day camp at its retreat center in Jefferson. The event is for children grades 1-6. Breakfast is from 8-11 a.m. and will include all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage and beverages. Day camp is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will offer activities, games, a speaker, lunch and if weather permits, a zip-line. The cost is $7. COOKBOOK CLUB – Do you like to try new recipes and want to make new friends? Visit the Bowlby Library on Monday, March 25 at 6 p.m for a new program: cookbook club.
ANNUAL POETRY COMPETITION – With the month of April being National Poetry Month, Bowlby Library is inviting patrons/citizens to participate by submitting original poems beginning Monday, March 25 through Saturday, April 13. The competition will be broken down into the following categories:
Kindergarten-Second Grade
Third Grade-Fifth Grade
Sixth Grade-Eighth Grade
Ninth Grade-Twelfth Grade
Adults
Winners will be announced on Monday, April 30.
TEEN ADVISORY GROUP – Bowlby Library invites teens 13-18 years old to join the library Tuesday March 26 at 6 p.m.
PHOTO CLUB – The Greene County Photography Club will meet on Tuesday, March 26, at 7 p.m. at Waynesburg Bible Chapel located on Greene Street. Club member, David Richter, will be the program director. This month’s program will be a “Show and Tell.” For this program, club members are asked to bring some of their favorite photographs to display. Members will then have the opportunity to share information about their photos. Members are reminded to bring three photos for this month’s photo challenge, “Snow.” New members are welcome.

COMMUNITY DINNER – Rogersville United Methodist Church (Fellowship Hall) is hosting a community dinner, Friday, March 29, 5 – 6:30 p.m. The meal will include choice of Fish or creamed chicken sandwich, macaroni & cheese, vegetable, dessert & beverage. VETERAN’S DAY COMMEMORATION – On Mar. 29 at the VFD Post 4793, 445 East Lincoln Street in Waynesburg, at 6 p.m. there will be a commemoration ceremony for veterans and respective families who served all over the world, alongside the Post 4793, followed by a social with food and refreshments. Visitors can also view photos of the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall, which was on display in Greene County in 2017.
FAIRALL UMC BUCKWHEAT CAKE AND SAUSAGE SUPPER – beginning at 5 pm, Saturday, March 30. The menu will include all you can eat buckwheat cakes, regular pancakes, whole hog sausage, applesauce and beverage. Donations accepted. Everyone is welcome. Take outs available. EASTER CRAFT CLASSES – The Greene County Department of Recreation will be conducting two Easter craft classes on Sunday, March 31, one for children and one for adults. The children’s class will be in 4-H building upstairs at 2 p.m. and costs $25. The adult Easter class will be at 3 p.m. in the downstairs of the 4-H building and cost $35. CHICKEN AND BISCUIT MEAL – Kent’s Chapel UMC and the Brave charge is hosting a cream chicken and biscuit meal at the Blacksville Senior Center in Blacksville, W.Va. on March 31. Doors open at 11 a.m. and the meal will be served until 2 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children under 10 years old, and comes with cream chicken, a biscuit, mashed potatoes, vegetables, a drink and dessert.
DANCE – Kesocks 2nd Annual Reunion Dance will be held on Saturday, April 6th form 7 to 10 p.m. at the Carmichaels Activity Center, 100 Nemacolin Rd., Carmichaels, formally known as “Kesocks”. Music of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s with D.J. Antonio. Admission $8 a person and doors open at 6 -BYOB.

BOOK CLUB – Flenniken Library offers an Elementary and Middle School reading competition book club on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 6-7 p.m.
TODDLER TIME – Every Friday from 11 a.m. to noon, bring your child to Flenniken Library for Toddler Time with Miss Norma. We will sing a song, read a book and make a craft. This class is free of charge, but registration is required. Class is open to children ages 1-3.

CRAFTERNOONS – Flenniken Library hosts this every Thursday from 3:30-5 p.m. It is open to school aged children so drop in for a weekly craft project free of charge.
COLORING CLUB – The Flenniken Public Library in Carmichaels hosts its Coloring Club for Adults on the third Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. Colored pencils and coloring sheets are available, but those attending are welcome to bring their own. For more info, call the library at 724-966-5263.
CAMP CODE – On the second and fourth Saturdays, February through April from 11 a.m. to noon at Flenniken Library. Open to children ages 5-10. Learn coding through with PBS Kids Scratch Jr. made possible by EQT Foundation: Inquire Within, and a grant from the Community Foundation of Greene County.
NYC TRIP – Join Nathanael Greene CDC on their annual 3 day trip to New York City on May 16th-19th. Stay at the Manhattan at Times Square Hotel to enjoy all the city has to offer. COLORING PROGRAM – The Eva K. Bowlby Library in Waynesburg is presenting “Color Outside the Lines,” a program for adults who may be interested in the latest craze of adult coloring books. Coloring books are not just for children. The process of coloring has been shown to be stress-reducing, calm-inducing and joy-producing, for people of all ages. The library will provide coloring sheets and supplies to get you started. Join the library weekly every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or from 6 to 8 p.m.
WEIGHT SUPPORT – T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is a weight management support group that meets every Saturday at the Bowlby Library from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. New members are always welcome.
SUPPORT MEETINGS – Steps Inside, Inc., 1790 Morris St., Waynesburg coordinated weekly recovery and support meetings for AA, NA and Al-Anon groups, open to the public. AA meetings are: Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, noon at Steps Inside Inc.; Tuesdays, noon at First United Methodist Church in Waynesburg and 7:30 pm at Carmichaels Methodist Church Fellowship Hall; Fridays, noon at First United Methodist Church in Waynesburg and Saturdays, noon at Steps Inside and 7:30 pm at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Waynesburg.
