Spraggs native running for DA
Jessica L. Phillips, resident of the Greene County Bar Association, has announced her candidacy for District Attorney.
“Greene County deserves a chief law enforcement officer who is guided by the same principles that define its citizens: honesty and hard work. My rural roots as a young girl in Spraggs and Waynesburg carried me from farm work into the working world at an early age,” Phillips said. I continued on this path to pay my way through college and law school. I could not rest on my prior achievements when I returned to Greene County.”
Phillips has experience as an associate attorney at a local firm where she has been responsible for managing her own clients and caseload, which has allowed her to develop
the legal and managerial skills essential to a well-run office.
She also volunteers as a youth soccer coach and understands that our youth benefits from learning the value of working to achieve goals, both in sports and in life.
“The District Attorney should serve with integrity and reflect the ethics of the citizens of Greene County,” Phillips said. “I am looking forward to the opportunity to prove to the voters that I am worthy of the privilege of their trust.
