Pioneers take lead on TCS all-conference team
West Greene won the Tri-County South Conference crown and the Pioneers were rewarded with nine players on the all-conference team.
West Greene players earning honors were seniors Gavin Scott (6-1, 185, WR-DB), Austin Crouse (5-9, 155, WR-DB), Benjamin Jackson (6-1, 220, RB-LB), Kolin Walker (6-1, 209, RB-LB), Andrew Litton (6-0, 190, LB), Gregory Staggers (6-5, 285, OL-DL), and Brock Bedilion (6-0, 290, OL-DL), sophomore Corey Wise (5-11, 195, TE-LB), and freshman Kevin Thompson (5-8, 150, K).
California finished second to West Greene in the conference standings and eight players earned all-conference honors, including seniors Lucas Qualk (5-8, 180, RB-OLB), Cochise Ryan (5-11, 188, QB-S), Malik Ramsey (6-3, 182, WR-C), Colton Lusk (5-11, 165, RB-C), Colin Tyhonas (6-1, 258, G-DT), Christian McKinley (5-11, 270, OT-DT), and Sam Thomas (6-2, 250, G-LB), and junior Seth Rerricha (5-10, 175, TE-OLB).
Monessen had several players recognized on the conference team with seniors Marquel Smith (6-3, 151, WR-DB), Jalen Brice (5-9, 205, QB-LB), Darius Stevenson (5-9, 150, WR-DB), and Desmond Short (5-9, 185, DL) and juniors Isaiah Beltram (5-7, 155, QB-LB) and Mark Mizerak (6-4, 305, OL-DL).
Bentworth was represented on the all-conference team by senior Shawn Dziak (6-0, 160, QB) and juniors Trevor Richardson (6-0, 220, K), Owen Petrisek (5-7, 175, RB-LB), and Trent Cavanaugh (5-10, 200, LB-RB).
Senior Austin Geho (5-8, 150, RB-DB), juniors Owen Maddich (6-5, 180, WR-DE) and Jonathan Wolfe (5-11, 220, RB-LB), sophomore Mason McNett (6-0, 215, OL-LB), and freshman Dalton Heath (6-0, 160, RB-LB) earned recognition for Jefferson-Morgan.
Mapletown sophomore Max Vanata (6-1, 160, QB-DB-LB) and freshmen Landon Stevenson (5-9, 160, RB-DB-LB) and Cohen Stout (6-0, 220, RB-DL) earned all-conference honors.
Chartiers-Houston’s Terry Fetsko was honored as the Coach of the Year.
