Jackson breaks TD record in 59-26 victory

West Greene’s Benjamin Jackson entered Friday’s non-conference game at Union needing four touchdowns to break the single-season record.
The senior running back accomplished the feat in the second quarter as the Pioneers made the long trip home from New Castle a pleasant one after a 59-26 victory.
Jackson scored on runs of 32, 10, 11 and 95 yards in the first half. He added rushing touchdowns of 78, 4 and 64 yards in the third quarter, and another 48-yarder in the fourth quarter. Jackson scored on eight of his 17 carries while racking up 367 yards.
Kolin Walker also topped 100 yards rushing for West Greene (9-1), finishing with 164 yards on just eight carries.
