Breydon Woods ran for five touchdowns and 138 yards to lead Waynesburg Central past host Brentwood, 48-14, in a Century Conference football game Friday night.

Woods had touchdown runs of 48, 6, 15, 33 and 66 yards yards for the Raiders (2-2, 5-2). He also caught three passes for 78 yards.

Jacob Stephenson completed 5-of-10 passes for 126 yards and added a rushing touchdown. Daniel Huffman added a short touchdown run.

The Spartans slide to 0-3 in the conference and 0-7 overall.

Jefferson-Morgan 50, Mapletown 21 — The Rockets won a Tri-County South Conference shootout at Mapletown.

The Maples (0-4, 2-5) led 14-8 after the first quarter. Jefferson-Morgan rallied for a 30-14 halftime lead and its advantage grew to 42-14 after three quarters.

Houston Guesman led the Rockets (3-1, 4-3) with 122 yards rushing on 11 carries and 108 passing on four completions. He ran for a touchdown and threw two.

Jefferson-Morgan’s Deakyn Dehoet caught two passes for 51 yards and a touchdown.

AJ Vanata led the way for Mapletown with 55 yards rushing and 134 passing yards. He completed eight passes, including touchdown passes to Evan Griffin and Roger Gradek.

Monessen 14, Carmichaels 13 — The Greyhounds scored two touchdowns in the second quarter and held on for a Tri-County South Conference home victory.

Rodney Johnson opened the scoring for Monessen on a 1-yard run at 6:12, but the two-point pass failed. Lorenzo Gardner caught a touchdown pass from Dennis Hawkins 90 seconds later and Johnson added the two-point run for a 14-0 lead.

Carmichaels cut the deficit in half with Gage Kundly’s 20-yard return of a blocked punt and Gavin Husenits’ point-after at 9:25 in the third quarter.

A.J. Donaldson scored a 5-yard touchdown for the Mikes with 3:15 left in the game, but the two-point conversion failed.
