The Greene County Messenger is a weekly newspaper located at 95 E High Street in Waynesburg PA.  The Greene County Messenger was started in 1990 by three local business people who answered the call for a truly local newspaper for the Greene County citizens and businesses.  Uniontown Newspapers Inc., the Herald Standard acquired the weekly newspaper in 2002.  The Mission of the Greene County Messenger is To Provide News, Information and Services to Enable our Communities to Prosper.  The Messenger and Herald Standard take pride in the services we provide the communities in and around Greene County.  Our teams of professional reporters and editors are committed to bringing our readers fair and accurate reporting and a great marketplace for advertising and marketing.
