The Greene County Farm Bureau is sponsoring a “Meet the Candidates” event later this month with those who are running for Greene County commissioner in the primary election, which will be on May 21.

The candidates are incumbents Blair Zimmerman and Dave Coder – both Democrats – and Republican Archie Trader. Additional candidates are Democrats Chuck Morris and Lisa Sowden, along with Republicans Betsy Rohanna McClure and Mike Belding.

The event is scheduled for 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 16 at the Waynesburg Central High School auditorium at 30 Zimmerman Drive, Waynesburg. The event is open to the public.

The Greene County Farm Bureau committee has chosen the format and ground rules. The moderator for the event will be Lanny Frattare, former Pirates broadcaster and currently an assistant professor of communication and special assistant to Waynesburg University.
