Students are Waynesburg Central Elementary School (WCES) are set to “Jump and Move” thanks to the recent project funded by Social Service League.

The start of the 2019-2020 school year allows all WCES students more choices of outdoor play activities. The goal is to increase physical activity while exploring different movement stations.

The blacktop adjacent to the main playground has been painted and can be used daily for recess, physical education classes and the community after-school hours.

This project was led by WCES 4th grade teacher, Kellie-Ann Maute.

According to the organization’s Facebook page, “Social Service League is a nonprofit women’s organization founded in 1921 by Josephine Denny to benefit the children of the Central Greene School District.”
