Zach Royer of Waynesburg, a student at Greene County Career & Technology Center, was awarded a Skill Point Certificate in Collision Repair Technology at the 2019 Skills USA National Championships in Louisville, Ky., on June 26-27.

John Hildreth, of Morris Township, started showing sheep at the Jacktown Fair when he was 9 years old. In high school, he marched with his high school band in the parade.

This year, at 66 years old, he and his wife, Louise, 59, will be the grand marshals of the parade, at 6:30 p.m. July 16.

Brooklyn Burns, 11, daughter of Scarlett and Nyle Burns of Graysville, has attended every Jacktown Fair since she was a toddler. Her earliest memory of what’s become an annual tradition is walking into the fairgrounds and seeing the gigantic Ferris Wheel looming in the distance.
