State police reported no one was injured in a two-vehicle rear-end collision at 8 a.m. Oct. 31 on Route 21 in Center Township. Police said Alicia Baker, 26 of Waynesburg, and Tammy Bowman, 47 of West Finley, were traveling east in the right lane of Route 21 just west of the intersection with Butternut Hollow Road when Bowman slowed in traffic causing Baker to strike the rear of her vehicle.
Arthur Ray Cain, 31 of Third Street, Franklin Township, told state police someone forcibly entered his home sometime between 2:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. and then fled. Police did not say what, if anything was stolen.
State police charged Lawrence Andrew Eddy, 32, of Waynesburg, with theft from a vehicle that was parked at the Greene Plaza at 3 p.m. on Oct. 23. Police said witnesses observed Eddy cutting padlocks off the victim’s vehicle and stealing items from inside and placing them inside his vehicle. Police observed Eddy fleeing west on Miller Road just east of Elm Drive where he was stopped and taken into custody. He was charged with theft, criminal mischief and driving under the influence. Police said a search warrant was executed on Eddy’s vehicle and items stolen from the victim’s vehicle were recovered, along with various drugs, including marijuana.
