Drunk and disorderly

State police charged Michael A. Braun, 35, of Carmichaels with public intoxication and disorderly conduct following an incident Sept. 22 in Perry Township. Police said Braun was found “passed out” in a yard in the area of Peach Street and Mt. Morris Road and when fire and EMS personnel arrived, police said Braun became irate, vulgar and uncooperative. Braun was taken into custody and admitted to consuming alcohol and several controlled substances.

Items stolen

Albert Blackburn of Holbrook told state police that between July 1 and Sept. 9 someone broke into a shed on his property and stole several tools, ATV rims and tires, chain saws, a mower and outdoor furniture and equipment.

Wire stolen

State police reported that someone cut a hole in a fence at Hatfield’s Ferry Power Plant and between 11 p.m. Aug.19 and 7 a.m. Aug. 20 and stole approximately 1,000 feet of copper ground wire valued at $3,100.

Burglary reported

A 28-year-old woman told state police that between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Aug. 24 someone entered her home on Tollgate Road in Franklin Township and stole an Xbox One and a black and blue tie-dyed E-cigarette vape mod.

Plate stolen

A Pennsylvania registration plate was removed from a car parked at Monro Muffler, 105 Greene Plaza, Franklin Township, between 7 p.m. Sept. 20 and 7 a.m. Sept. 21. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-627-6151.

Money stolen

State police said money from a tip jar was stolen just before 6 p.m. Sept. 1 from the Golden Dragon Chinese Restaurant at 989 N Eighty Eight Road in Jefferson. Police described the suspect as an 18-year-old female.

Motorcycle crash

Barry Grecoe, 67, of Graysville, while riding his Harley Davidson Road King at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 21, sustained minor injuries when he failed to negotiate a right curve on Mt. Morris Road in Whiteley Township. Police said Grecoe crossed into the southbound lane, laying the motorcycle over and continuing down an embankment and into a field.

No injuries

Brandon Lindsay, 28, of Morgantown, W.Va., escaped injury at 6:45 a.m. Sept. 15 when the vehicle he was driving on Interstate 79 in Whiteley Township entered the median, returned to the highway and struck an embankment before hitting a tree.

One-vehicle accident

State police reported that Dylan Boyle, 19, of Waynesburg was traveling north on Route 19 (Washington Road), Washington Township, at 3:15 p.m. Sept. 10 when he lost control while negotiating a curve, left the road and struck a fire hydrant just south of Good Hill Road.
