Selena Phillips and Hunter Wasson are right on target when it comes to shooting during rifle matches, and succeeding in the classroom.

The senior duo from Waynesburg Central High School have been selected as their school's winter representatives in the Herald-Standard Scholar-Athlete program.

Phillips won WPIAL gold her junior and senior seasons, while Wasson was fifth in the state as a senior and won the bronze as a sophomore. The Raiders also placed third in the state this past year as a team.

Phillips will attend Morehead State University to major in petroleum engineering and Wasson is set to join the United State Marine Corps.
