Huge crowds poured into Canonsburg Thursday morning for the 61st annual Greater Canonsburg 4th of July Celebration. The festivities began with a parade down Pike Street featuring local fire and police departments, elected officials and veterans and other groups. The three-hour-long parade, considered one of the largest in the state, ran from Cavasina Drive to Bluff Street. The fun continued all day with activities at Canonsburg Town Park. A fireworks display at Canon-McMillan Stadium topped off the day’s festivities.
