State police search Dunlap Creek for evidence in homicide case

State police were searching Dunlap Creek Thursday morning in connection to an ongoing homicide investigation. Fayette County District Attorney Mike Aubele confirmed investigators were searching for evidence in the killing of 83-year-old Anthony Dicenzo. It was not immediately clear if the search was fruitful. Norman Pennington, 65, of Redstone Township was arrested for Dicenzo’s murder on Wednesday. Dicenzo allegedly confessed to shooting Dicenzo during an interview with police, and said he had thrown the firearm into Dunlap Creek in Menallen Township. Police found Dicenzo’s body laying in the backseat of his vehicle along Riffle Hollow Road in German Township Saturday morning. ...
