After a five-year absence due to COVID and my health, our Washington’s Got Talent fundraiser is back! The finale will be held Sunday at Chartiers-Houston High School, starting at 1:30 p.m.. The community is invited. Doors open at noon for a wonderful spaghetti lunch, sponsored by Michael Passalacqua of Angelo’s. Tickets are available at our website at https://www.washingtonsgottalent.com/.

Traditionally, I dedicate the two columns before the show to the thoughts of the contestants. This year, we are showcasing 24 teens in 14 acts. The young people were asked the following questions: 1. Please tell me why you enjoy performing. 2. What does performing in Washington’s Got Talent mean to you? 3. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In alphabetical order, these are the second 12 contestants.

Avery Lember: 1. I enjoy performing because I get to express myself without using my words and I love to see all the people watching and cheering me on. 2. It gives me the chance to show people the love and passion I have for the sport I love most. 3. Working in the fashion industry, hopefully getting married and owning my first house.
