Della Salvato
Della Salvato, 89, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Saturday, March 30, 2002, in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born April 11, 1912, daughter of Michael Salvato and Carmella Gismondi Salvato.
Della was a member of St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church and had been a Seamstress for the Michael J. Berkowitz Sewing Factory in Uniontown from which she retired after 43 years of service.
Three brothers, Joseph, Ralph, and Ernest Salvato, two sisters, Ellen Gordon and Olympia Salvato, and her parents preceded her in death.
She was the beloved sister of Margaret Salvato of Uniontown with whom she shared their home and the beloved aunt and great aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, April 2, until 9 a.m. at which time a Blessing Service will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 9:30 a.m. in St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, Mill Street, Uniontown, with Rev. Fr. Patrick J. O’Connor as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
