Steven “Steve” Bezjak, 91, of Sandy Run Hill, Greensboro, Pa., husband, of Marie Hegedis Bezjak, died Saturday, March 30, 2002, in LaFayette Manor, Uniontown. He was born December 19, 1910, in Bitner, Fayette County, Pa., son of Sandor Bezjak and Rose Mary Balaban Bezjak.

“Steve” was a retired Coal Miner from Duquesne Light Company and a member of Warwick Mine Local 6310.

Six brothers, Nick Bezjak, Carl Bezjak, Merco Bezjak, Mitchell Bezjak, Frank Bezjak, Pete Bezjak, a grandson, Josh Wagner, and his parents preceded him in death.

In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Ann Hornick and husband, Andrew, of Masontown, Pa., Mrs. Barbara Spehar and husband, Emil, of Uniontown, Pa., and Mrs. Elizabeth Dillow of Masontown; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters and brothers: Mrs. Frances Gray of Masontown, John Bezjak of Smithfield, Pa., Paul Bezjak and Joseph Bezjak both of Sabraton, West Virginia, and Mrs. Mary Worch of Cleveland, Ohio.

Friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, corner of Church and River avenues, Masontown, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday, April 3, until 12 Noon, the hour of Service.

Interment will be in Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Greensboro, Pa.
