Charles A. “Bunker” Hill, 85, of Uniontown, Pa., died Saturday, March 30, 2002, in Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born February 1, 1917, in Uniontown, Pa., a son of the late Henry R. Hill and Etta Jeffries Hill.

Mr. Hill was a former employee of the Coca-Cola Bottling Company on Pittsburgh Street in Uniontown from which he retired as Plant Manager after many years of faithful service.

He was a member of Third Presbyterian Church in Uniontown, the John Knox Bible Class, and B.P.O. Elks Lodge No. 370, Uniontown.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth F. “Libby” Frankenberry Hill; nine children: Susan Maher and her husband, Jerry Maher, Mary Jane Uehara and her husband, Russell Uehara, and Elizabeth “Beth” Mahoney and her husband, Tim Mahoney, all of Uniontown, Pa., Ann Lyons and her husband, Frank Lyons, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Charles H. Hill and his wife, Debbie, of LaHavre, California, Robert D. Hill of Glendale, California, Albert P. Hill and his wife, Joni, of Gilbert, Arizona, Peter Hill and his wife, Stephanie, of Santa Clarita, California, and Joseph Hill and his wife, Sandi, of Valencia, California; 23 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Visitation continues Wednesday, April 3, in Third Presbyterian Church, Union Street, Uniontown, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Services will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James R. Tweardy officiating.

Interment will follow in Jacobs Lutheran Cemetery, Masontown, Pa.

Visitation was also held Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
